NYDIG Signs Crypto Services Partnership With the Houston Rockets

NYDIG, the Crypto services company, has sealed a sponsorship deal with two-time NBA champions, Houston Rockets.

NYDIG will become the official Bitcoin services partner and platform of the NBA franchise. This includes exclusive access to several spaces of the franchise, including social, digital, and in-arena platforms. For example, NYDIG will get naming rights for the Toyota Center’s (home arena for the Houston Rockets) suite levels and this will be rebranded to the “Bitcoin Suites by NYDIG.”

The Rockets will furthermore team up with NYDIG to expand knowledge and awareness about the cryptocurrency world and best ways to invest.

Houston Rockets President of Business Operations, Gretchen Sheirr, stated:

“Our organization has leaned on advancements in technology to remain on the cutting edge. Partnering with NYDIG allows us to leverage the growth of Bitcoin to provide creative rewards and payment options to our fanbase and associates.”

Specific amounts related to the sponsorship were not (yet) disclosed by any of the parties. NYDIG will pay the NBA team fully in Bitcoin while offering its custodial services.

Kelly Brewster, chief marketing officer of NYDIG, commented:

“The Rockets will be paid in bitcoin, and this partnership underscores our excitement about the Houston area and the Bitcoin innovation taking place there.”

The crypto space is running an effective full-court press as of late. Marketing efforts gear up as earlier in the week the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Staples Arena, was renamed to Crypto.com Arena after the exchange secured naming rights for an astonishing amount of $700 million.
